Point Sur Light

I love taking photos of odd angles on buildings. I have found that you miss a lot if you don't look up as well as around you. I also enjoy drawing (pencil) these architectural treasures - the challenge of drawing the straight lines (no ruler!) and getting the angles right is a challenge at times.

Anniversary

My husband never fails to amaze me - for our twelfth anniversary he planned a three day weekend on the Big Sur coast after taking a motorcycle trip through the area last summer and realizing that it was an ideal spot for photographs. Three days was not enough in this idyllic setting, but it was a much needed chance to restore ourselves.

Snow!

There is more snow falling! We hardly ever get more than a sprinkling at our elevation and it never sticks, so this is a treat. In honor I am putting up a picture of one of our German Shepherds, Ryker, taken during our Christmas Tree hunt. Enjoy!

Cottonwood in Morning Fog

I never tire of the view of the old cottonwoods around our house. I thought that a slight blur of the branches with the receding fog made this more lonely.

Pondering

I seem to be pondering my life a lot lately. I want to go out and capture everything around me - I want to show the beauty and the despair I see. I want to do some good and help the hundreds of thousands who are so much less fortunate than I am.
